April 5, 2020 was planned to be the day that two of my good friends, Tristan & Stephanie tied the knot as Mr. and Mrs. Funnell. They had every detail planned and ready to go, but the coronavirus had it's own agenda. Once the President announced the stay at home order through the month of April, Tristan and Stephanie knew that they were going to have to make some compromises. From the wedding venue and reception to the guest list, they worked to reschedule until a later date, but the date of their marriage however, was not one they were willing to surrender. April 5th is the anniversary of Stephanie's parents, and it was incredibly meaningful to keep that date as her own anniversary with Tristan. So, onward they went with an intimate and safely distanced gathering of their closest family and friends. Instructing their guests to park alongside an open field, and stay in their cars, near their cars and at least 6 feet away from each other, they gathered together to witness their testament of love for each other.
Congratulations Tristan and Stephanie, if a pandemic can't keep you apart, nothing will!
